MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT
Synergy Biologics Limited is a UK manufacturer, distributor and retailer of nutraceutical supplements, vitamins, minerals and healthcare products. Synergy Biologics Limited sources its raw materials from around the world using regulated suppliers who satisfy high requirement standards and pass the supplier approval criteria.
Although Synergy Biologics Limited's turnover is below the statutory threshold that requires a slavery and human trafficking statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, the company voluntarily produces this statement as a demonstration of its commitment to ethical practices.
As a holder of MHRA WDA(H) and MIA licenses, Synergy Biologics Limited operates under rigorous regulator frameworks, which extend to our governance, quality assurance and supply chain oversight. This regulated environment reinforces our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
Synergy Biologics Limited fully embraces the aims and ideas of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (UK) and opposes all forms of slavery and human trafficking. We will never knowingly conduct business with suppliers, contractors or employees who engage in any such practices.
Our Employees
Synergy Biologics Limited has communicated this Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement to all employees, providing them with information on how to identify and report potential slavery within the business. In addition, employees have been given guidance on recognising signs of slavery in everyday life, together with details on how to report concerns outside the business.
This statement is incorporated into the employee handbook and employees may raise any concerns confidentially through our whistleblowing and reporting channels.
Contractors and Supply Chain
Synergy Biologics Limited applies reasonable due diligence to risk-assess its supply chain and regularly conducts supplier audits, including onsite assessments of regular suppliers. These audits review many aspects of the supply chain including the supplier's policies on environment, safety, child labour, quality control, slavery, human trafficking and other legal requirements.
We recognise that raw materials and ingredient procurement can occur in regions where recognition of slavery and human trafficking may be weak. Synergy Biologics Limited therefore conducts supplier approval questionnaires and pre-audits to establish and maintain a list suppliers that meet our quality credentials and ethical requirements.
Commitment
Slavery and human trafficking are serious crimes. Synergy Biologics Limited remains committed to compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to ongoing monitoring of its operations and supply chains. This statement will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect progress and any changes in legislation.
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Synergy Biologics Limited in accordance with Section 54(6) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. [September 2025]
